These cute Valentine’s Day Mailbox Ideas will give you lots of inspiration for collecting your Valentine’s Day cards!
Every year my most popular Valentine’s Day craft project is not even a Valentine’s Day project at all. It’s a very cute cardboard mailbox that I made when my oldest really wanted to have a Post Office themed birthday party (for real, that’s what he wanted). My kids actually still play with it. There’s something very fun about delivering pretend mail. I think it’s the tiny envelopes.
Anyway, that got me thinking that there are sooo many cute Valentine’s Day mailbox ideas out there and so today I wanted to share some of my favorite from around the web with you. People get so creative with their Valentine mailbox ideas!
I don’t really remember this being a thing when I was a kid. I think we decorated a shoe box, but you did that during school and it was never much fancier than construction paper and markers. Now I know some schools have you make them at home and they get REALLY fancy. That’s not something my kids’ school does but I think it sounds fun. But if that’s not your thing, really, don’t stress, you can either use one of these ideas or just let your kids go with the old fashioned shoe box route! A decorated brown paper lunch bag works just fine too!
I was also thinking that this year in particular, Valentine’s mailboxes would be a really great way to share Valentines with friends while still keeping some distance. Especially if your kids aren’t actually in school in person. You could put your cute mailbox by your front door or on your porch and deliver your cards any time! I’m sure my kids will be doing this with your neighbors this year.
If you’re looking for printable Valentines to go with your DIY mailbox, here are some really cute mailbox themed printable Valentine cards that I whipped up last year. They turned out so cute!
