Amazon and Walmart are cheaper, cleaner, and less crowded. Costco was a "deal" 20 years ago maybe.
I would not say Walmart is cleaner...

Walmart is not cleaner than Costco. But getting in and out of Costco is atrocious. They practically make you spend hundreds of dollars to make it worth your while. Getting in and our of Walmart is messy too, but at least you can order your stuff online for free curbside pickup and therefore avoid impulse buys.

I’m fairly sure the hot dogs alone over the last year made up for what I spent on membership, not to mention the other deals. Amazon is full of shady third party sellers and cheap crap in search results these days.
You can access the food court even without the membership. We usually flash our old expired Costco card so there are no questions.

No need for membership to access the food court. You just go through the exit. No questions asked.

They literally started carding people to see if you're the owner of the card. They did it to me a few times and honestly I have costco membership just to hang out there and buy a couple a things when I go. If someone is borrowing someone's card most likely they can't afford a membership. With netflix trying to ban people from account sharing and costco trying to do the same even though they had record sales throughout covid, I cancelled my yearly membership. **** corporate greed.
The little engine that could.

Does Costco allow this? (seems like an easy trick to get welcome bonuses every single year)
Would this void any warranties/refund capabilities if the husband is no longer a member when the wife has the new membership?

the warranty at least is based on the time of sale. so even if you're not a member anymore when you need costco's extended warranty (that comes with the membership) you are still covered.

At the south winnipeg location someone was trying to enter the exit and told the person there he was meeting his dad at the food court and they would not allow him. They had to call for an an employee to come and walk with him to go there.

I guess it's different with each province. Around the GTA in Ontario, nobody has asked me about it before. Not as strict here.

I redeemed this voucher at the Scarborough location today, paid $7.8 tax in-store. I didn't have any issues other than the staff commenting they can see that I have 4 accounts with them and it's a red-flag lol

4 active accounts or just old accounts?
2022/3: BOC raised 10 times and MCAP raised its prime next day.
2017,2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.
